A lot of times we focus on the wrong things in life. We distract ourselves with things that aren’t really important. Things that redirect us away from the important things are robbing us of a better quality of life.
Television is one of the things that we pay too much attention to. Hours upon hours are spent on being a boob in front of the tube. The content of the shows on television are generally rubbish not very beneficial to brain development. Other things that consume large amounts of our valuable time are, the computer, iphones, texting, and playing games.
Most of us are employed in jobs that we don’t enjoy. Spending your time doing things that you really don’t want to do, can be very stressful and unhealthy for you both, mentally and physically.
We know that eating right and regular exercise is necessary if we want to maintain a fit and healthy life. When we replace a healthy diet with fast food because we don’t have time we are saying no to good health. When we sit and watch television instead of going for a jog, walk or to the gym we are denying ourselves of optimal health.
Spending too much time on the job especially one you hate will adversly affect your health. Focusing on other peoples issues can also be a big distraction from positive health. It’s alright to listen to a friend who might be down and out, but keep this activity to a minimum. Allowing others to dump on you constantly is unfair to you and selfish of them. That’s why we have trained professionals to listen to folks that really need help to get back on the road to recovery.
List all of the things that you know are distractions in your life. Keep them on an index card so that you can keep it close to you. Every time you begin to engage in one of these behaviors ask yourself why are you doing this behaviour. Keep another list of things or actions that are good for you, things that will help you to improve yourself. Like the Nike commercial says, “just do it”. You don’t need a reason to do good for yourself.
Keep in mind that a healthy diet and exercise program is worth every effort you put into it. Clean out your body, mind and soul. Cut down the distractions. Be able to know the difference between a distraction and a healthy habit.
Distractions are like a ringing telephone, they demand attention. Ignore the ring and be strong and stick to the lifestyle that will make you the best being that you can be.
Eatting wholesome foods drinking plenty of water, cutting out or down on junk food is the way to go. Remember that an effective exercise program prevents or slows down the progression of many diseases. It affords us the opportunity of living a better quality of life. A life of pain free bliss. Living a healthy lifestyle will also save you tons of money on medical bills.
I cannot stress enough that distractions also rob us of our much needed sleep. Most of us are sleep deprived and don’t even know it.
Do the right things
1. Eat plenty fruits and vegetables preferably organic
2. Drink between six to eight cups of water daily
3. Exercise no less than five days a week, include exercises specifically designed for cardiovascular fitness, like running, jogging, brisk walking etc
Resistance training and stretching exercises are required by the body to maintain fitness and flexibility.
4.Sufficient sleep is essential for good health
Cut down or cut out any habit or food that hurts your good health.
You are stronger than you think. Cut out those meaningless, stupid, excuses that you cling to so that you can succeed at having a sick unhealthy life. You are responsible for your own self. Be a man or a woman stop hiding from the truth. Open up be honest and except the challenge with all of the positive power you have inside you. I am doing it with you. We’ve got this!
